"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" is a game that many fans love, especially with the game establishing itself as one of the best video games in the sports genre.

However, when the fifth installment of the game came out recently, many gamers were disappointed as bugs have clouded the should-have-been classic beauty of the "Tony Hawk" game franchise.

Nonetheless, the game's publisher, Activision, is quick to acknowledge the presence of bugs in "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" and has promised to immediately work to fix the problems and issues being encountered by gamers.

"We are aware of the issues that players have experienced following the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 and are working with the developer to address these so that we can continue to improve the gameplay experience," Activision said in a statement sent to Shack News.

Moreover, besides fixing the bugs, Activision will also be offering free Downloadable Content (DLC) to gamers in order to at least appease the complaining players.

As cited by VG 24/7, the DLC will feature two stages and 5 new skaters, along with the current eight levels and 10 skaters present in the game. However, no specific release date for the DLC was announced.

According to Game Rant, it has been reported that many players have experienced various glitches that should have been addressed before the game was released.

For instance, the game was seen to have "serious collision detection," problems where the player-controlled skater falls through the ground or over the obstacles while some experienced their skater falling backwards or in the opposite direction repeatedly.

The site even furthered that even though the first patch for the game has been released, it still did not fix the problems and the bugs still continue to disrupt the gaming experience of the players.

Game Rant also mentioned the game's lack of polishing might root from the expiring publishing deal between Tony Hawk and Activision. Although no reports of extension were reported, the obligation of Activision to release the game before their deal ends this year implies that the release of the game is sudden and that might be the reason why the game is full of glitches.

"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" is already out and is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Moreover, the game's versions for Xbox 360 and PS3 are also in the works and will hit the market on November 10, 2015.
