Nokia might be on cloud nine following good news regarding their latest Lumia series.

The Lumia 920 smartphone, which launched earlier this month, was sold out during the Black Friday festivities, according to Managing Editor of Equity Research at Global Equities Research, Trip Chowdhry.

"[The Lumia] 920 Windows 8 Phone on AT&T was completely sold out by mid-day," Chowdhry told investors and reporters, however, specific numbers were not disclosed.

The good numbers for Nokia might come as AT&T priced the Lumia 920 for $49.99 from the original $99.99 when signing a two-year contract but only through AT&T during the Black Friday weekend.

According to Nasdaq, Nokia has been struggling to increase smartphone sales with their previous series devices, dropping to seventh place in worldwide smartphone sales while Apple and Samsung continue to dominate.

The specific sales numbers might not be out yet until the end of the fourth quarter but evidence can include AT&T selling out the black and cyan version of the Lumia 920.

When attempting to purchase the black Lumia 920 smartphone, the message "The included Nokia Wireless Charging Plate will ship at a later date" appears.

When going through the cyan version, AT&T states it is delayed by 7 to 14 business days and will ship "at a later date."

The yellow version of the Lumia 920 is also sold out online on Best Buy.

The red and white version on Amazon is sold out, but customers can sign up to be notified when supplies stock up. Amazon still has the black version for sale for $69.99.

According to WMPowerUser, the Lumia 920 has sold out in the UK and Germany, and Italy.
