ABC's "Once Upon A Time" season 5 will finally explore an LGBT relationship as promised by executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Only a week before the show's premiere on September 27, the only question at this point is who among the characters will come out of the closet.

"We know that community have been big supporters of the show and we would love to be able to tell a love story that reflects that," Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly. He added that an LGBT love story "is something that we're going to do this year."

Horowitz further explained that they want "Once Upon A Time" to reflect the world as it is now. Both of the executives recognize that exploring an LGBT love story is already long overdue since almost everyone now recognizes the significance of the issue. Asked whether the love story involves Mulan exploring his feelings for Aurora, Horowitz refused to elaborate.

In another interview with TV Line, Kitsis said that season 5 will see some people befriending the heroes of Camelot as they search for Merlin. And while this unfolds, a huge bromance between Charming and King Arthur will also came to light and many of the characters will be skeptical of them, Kitsis said.

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will play out the whole theme of "Love is a dangerous weapon," Kitsis revealed in the beginning of the interview with TV Line. With that said, lead character Emma Swan will be presented as a deeply motivated Dark One.

"There's a real driving force behind what she's doing and why, that we will unfurl. It's not like a rampant, uncontrollable evil that's been unleashed. Emma as a non-Dark One was a very smart person who did things for a reason," Horowitz said of Emma.

Kitsis went on saying that Emma is going to hide something that will only be revealed in the first half of the season. Emma will be doing something really sinister, worse, to the people that she loves.

Meanwhile, Disney released a new batch of photos from season 5. The batch of photos, first reported by FlickeringMyth.com, show Amy Manson as Merida, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin, Liam Garrigan as King Arthur, Andrew Jenkin as Percival, Sinqua Walls as Lancelot and Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan.
