The predictions were right - Apple unveiled the latest iPhones and iPad during its September 9 media event. Apple TV also made an appearance.
iPhones
Once more, the company Steve Jobs co-founded released 2 versions of its best-selling product this year - the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Both have the same display size and thinness as last year's models. This means that rumors alleging the new iPhones were thinner than their predecessors were off target.
According to Tech Crunch, the new iPhones have "3D Touch (force touch on steroids), 64-bit A9 chip, 12MP back camera with 4K video recording, 5MP FaceTime HD and Retina Flash, extra-quick, new Touch ID, supports WiFi up to 866 mbps, with 300 mbps LTE."
The tech news source also reported that the 6s and 6s Plus "still start at $199 and $299 respectively for the phones on a 2-year contract."
"Apple also introduced the Apple Upgrade Plan, which allows consumers the ability to upgrade to a new iPhone each year for a monthly rate, starting at $32/month," the site added.
Pre-ordering will open Sept. 12, and the smartphones will launch Sept. 25.

iPads
This year, Apple revealed its largest tablet ever - the iPad Pro. It has a 12.9-inch screen with a 2,732 x 2,048 display; is 6.9mm thin and weighs 1.57 lbs; starts at $799 for the 32GB model; has a powerful new A9X chip that's 1.8x than the A8 before it; 10-hour battery life; an 8MP iSight camera; has Touch ID; and sports a powerful four speaker audio.
This giant isn't for everyone, which means current iPad owners may do well to hang on to their Apple tablets if they're still satisfied with what they have. Its target consumers are the business users.
The rationale behind the bigger tab size, as noted by CNN, was to give gamers and movie viewers a better experience.
"It's big enough to have a full-size keyboard on the screen," the news agency went on. "If you don't want to type on the screen, Apple has made a new smart keyboard that doubles as a cover."
Then there's the $99 stylus called the Apple Pencil. And the iPad Mini 4.
The iPad Pro price range starts at $799.
Apple TV
A new Apple TV made an appearance during the much-anticipated event, looking pretty much the same but having a couple of new features within it.
"The latest Apple TV features a third-party App Store, a new remote, Siri controls and a completely overhauled operating system," CNN reported. "The TV now runs on tvOS, which is based on iOS."
Apple TV will start retailing in October and will cost $149 (32 GB) and $199 (64 GB).
