"Ice Age 5" gets a new title, "Ice Age: Collision Course," bringing back Sid (John Leguizamo), Manfred (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), Ellie (Queen Latifa), Crash (Sean William Scott), Scrat (Chris wedge) and Eddie (Josh Peck) on another adventure of pre-historic proportions.

Blue Sky Studio has added a fifth instalment to one of the world's biggest animated franchise, "Ice Age: Collision Course." According to Den of Geek, the series has hauled in a sizable amount of cash for 20th Century Fox over the years. The recent instalment, "Ice Age: Continental Drift," has put $877 million in the bank worldwide. Its predecessor, "Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs," earned $886 million from around the globe.

True to its title, the original release date for "Ice Age: Collision Course" was in a collision course with other movies such as Sony's "Ghostbusters" and two other pictures, the musical "La La Land" from Lionsgate and "The Lake" from EuropaCorp. According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox has moved Blue Sky Studio's latest instalment for the "Ice Age" franchise's release date from July 15, 2016 to July 22, 2016 to prevent such event from happening.

The new release date now puts the movie alongside Guy Ritchie's "Knights of the Round Table," which according to Movie Web, will be a PG-13 movie and could be quite violent.

As fans of the series would remember, "Ice Age" first kicked off back in 2002 and has had three sequels that followed suit. The first movie showcased an unlikely bond among Sid, Manfred and Diego. It was intriguing to see a mammoth, a sloth and saber-tooth tiger working side by side to bring a lost child back to his parents.

The second movie revolved around Manfred meeting another mammoth, named Ellie, who was voiced by Queen Latifa. The third instalment revolved around Ellie's pregnancy and a hidden world filled with dinosaurs. It also featured Simon Pegg as Buck, the one-eyed weasel bent on vengeance for his missing eye. "Continental Drift" revolved around Manfred and Ellie's daughter, Peaches. The fourth instalment featured a star-studded cast which included Nicki Minaj, Drake, Peter Dinklage, Josh Grad, Wanda Sykes and Sir Patrick Stewart.

Including the first movie, "Ice Age: The Meltdown", "Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs," and "Ice Age: Continental Drift," garnered a total of over $729 million in the United States and $2.77 billion worldwide, according to The-Numbers.

A fifth movie comes as no surprise to fans especially with all the potential profit the movie. "Ice Age: Collision Course" will be in cinemas on July 22, 2016. Keep posted for more news and information about the movie.
