Like any true superheroes, the cast of "Fantastic 4" has come to the rescue of co-star Miles Teller after being deemed a "d**k" by Esquire.

The 28-year-old actor publicly spoke out on the Esquire cover story, in which he was made out to appear as a boastful and brash "d**k," making it clear he is not a fan of the piece.

The cover of the magazine displays a toned Teller, wearing a wifebeater tank and garnishing a slight smirk on his face, with a caption that reads as a quote from the actor: "I think I am better looking than the public thinks I am."

Esquire initially debuted the magazine spread on Twitter, further fanning the flames with "Miles Teller is on a quest for greatness (with a bit of d**kishness too)."

The "Divergent" star tweeted the magazine on Wednesday, "@esquire couldn't be more wrong, I don't think there's anything cool or entertaining about being a dick or an asshole. Very misrepresenting."

Teller's "Fantastic 4" castmates, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan were quick to chime in and come to his defense -- each taking to Twitter to set the record straight.

Mara tweeted, "My movie husband @Miles_Teller is crazy talented and a truly fantastic person. @esquire," before retweeting Bell's comment: "@Miles_Teller is a great actor & a great guy. @esquire."

"@Miles_Teller is my boy and I'm a great judge of character @esquire," Jordan added.

Esquire begins the piece with, "You're sitting across from Miles Teller at the Luminary restaurant in Atlanta and trying to figure out if he's a d***k."

The publication then goes into a series of unflattering vignettes from Teller that paints him as a "party animal," who was "smoking pot, before... a horrific car accident he was in - resulting in him having laser surgery on his face for the resulting scars," according to Mirror.

Such anecdotes are paired with drool-worthy shots of Teller, baring his biceps and even standing over a completely naked model. However, the actor divulges to the magazine that he does not find himself to be so easy on the eyes.

"I was in one of these forums about a film I did, and it's like, 'This dude is so ugly! How does he get f**king parts?' 'Well, he's not, like, traditionally handsome, but...' And that's kind of what it is," he admits. "Maybe it's because I came from a small town, but I always did well for myself."

The magazine closes the spread with what appears to be a backhanded compliment: "He gives you a hug and goes off to contribute to the cache or catalog or canon or whatever the f**k you call it and charm the world with his d**kishness."

Ouch! Teller's reps have yet to comment on the situation.
