Good news for those who are waiting for the release of "The Last of Us" movie as new details about the film have been unveiled.

It seems that Neil Druckmann is looking to make the story of "The Last of Us" a little bit more movie-friendly as he has admitted that changes from the games' storyline would be changed to fit a movie setting.

Citing Slash Film, Franchise Herald reported that Druckmann is going to make some big changes to the plot of "The Last of Us" movie but he notes that the film will be completely faithful to the story of the game.

As noted by Franchise Herald, Druckmann is also working on "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" but he notes that he also working on the film if he has free time.

"When I'm in the office it's all Uncharted 4 all the time," he said. "When I should be sleeping, it's the [Last of Us] movie," said Druckmann.

The report also notes that Druckmann has completed the movie's draft as he admits that some actors being eyed on to play the role of Ellie and Joel and some of them even did a table read with him.

"I just finished the second draft and we did a table read with a bunch of actors and that's where we're at," said Druckmann.

Citing Digital Spy, the Movie News Guide reported that it has been widely speculated that "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams is going to play Ellie in the film but she admits that while she would love to play Ellie, nothing has been confirmed about her role in the film yet.

"It was announced sort of prematurely almost in that I would love to play Ellie, they would love me to play Ellie. There's no film happening at this very second, so I cannot play Ellie right at this very minute. But when that comes around - if and when that comes around - I'll be here," said Williams.

However, Williams admitted that meetings with Neil Druckmann and other movie executives have happened in the past.

"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love to. Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment. There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to," said Williams.
