NBA Live 16 promises to do a lot better than its predecessor, NBA 2K15, and apparently such has been done by EA Sports.

A blog post sums up the new enhancements that NBA 2K16 will come with, ranging from better game play and improved graphics.

NBA 2K15 apparently left a lot of hoop junkies pretty much disappointed. Many gamers felt that NBA 2K15 placed too much emphasis on graphics rendering and leaving out the actual game play angle when you think about real-life basketball.

The previous version likewise focused too much on earning money, specifically needed to jack up the skill levels which in all eats up a lot of the player’s time. Then there was the issue on the game servers (particularly for people who play the game online) which rendered glitches such as game delays and/or hangs.

To address the problem, game developers sought the help of players by asking for feedback and inputs. Much of those were detailed at nba2k16game.com and EA Sports claims that they have listened to those inputs and hopefully translate to a better NBA 2K16 version.

As far as the enhancements are concerned, there are reportedly four key improvements to look forward to.

  1. Dribbling. In NBA 2K16, players can look forward to better dribbling, a key part when you think about an actual NBA game. The improved feature will allow players to enjoy better ball handling, and fans can look forward to better animations when players drive towards the basket to dish or score.
  2. Improved Passing. Motion capture technology has allowed the game developers to come up with a new passing system that should account for better ball movement in the game. Apparently the whole passing improvement angle is in line with the supposed enhanced graphical improvements that the game will carry.
  3. Thousands of new animations for more off-ball movement and live motion. With over 8,000 new animations the game carries, expect a more realistic off-ball movement and live motions which should result in better overall play even if they are not the main focus on offense or defense. This enhancement should be something particularly for players who want to get physical with opposing players away from the ball.
  4. Improvements based on feedback. Remember that earlier it was mentioned that the game developers opened the floor for gamers to toss in their suggestions. Well it seems that EA Sports has listened to it so expect more realistic game play as earlier voiced out by the fans.

From the look of it, EA Sports may have tried to come with a more balanced game for the NBA 2K players, something most feel were absent in NBA 2K15.

Hopefully the improvements would be dramatic enough to make up for a disappointing predecessor. NBA 2K16 is set to be launched this coming September 29, 2015.
