2 Nexus Phones Arriving Soon? Specs, Features & Rumors Here!

Recent reports are saying that two new Nexus phones will be unveiled this year.

Android Police said this would be the first time that Google would be unveiling two devices in a year. Though it admitted that it does not know much about the new handsets, it aired its confidence about the speculations.

"The source is reliable, and we believe the information to accurately represent the state of things in the very recent past. The specs on the phones are still tentative in the information we've received, though," Ryan Whitwam wrote, adding that nothing is final at the moment as things can always change in a snap.

Android Police cited a Google Plus post from Artem Russakovskii as its source.

Now, let's get to know the two devices. First is the "LG Bullhead." According to Android Police, the device would have a 5.2-inch screen. Plus, it would be powered by a "battery in the neighborhood of 2700 mAh." For the processor, there is a chance that it would be a Snapdragon 808, the one also in the current LG G4.

Android Police bets the new handset is a 2015 version of the Nexus 5. It also said it has already confirmed that LG be doing it. Check this out.

Now, the other one is called "Huawei Angler." It is a 5.7-incher phone. It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 and a 3500 mAh battery. Android Police says this might be a Nexus 6 2015 version.

Gizmo China in its previous report cited Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang revealing that the Huawei Nexus device will have 5.7-inch OLED display with 2K screen resolution. It also provided some reason as to why Google would choose the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.

"This is a bit surprising given that we expected Huawei to incorporate its own SoC inside a new Nexus device. But given that the company's SoCs have yet to prove itself, Google probably insisted Huawei to use Qualcomm's best chipset," the report said.

Android Police meanwhile revealed that Google currently has no plans of releasing a new tablet.

Remember that Android Origin earlier reported that a Nexus 7 tablet is bound to come out this year. This came after Korean news site E Today revealed that engineers from Google recently went to the LG headquarters for a tour, spurring speculations of possible talks for a new Nexus 7 successor.

We still could not confirm whether the rumors are indeed true.
