Apple Inc. reportedly has a few more months remaining to introduce the next device in their smartphone line, which will probably be the iPhone 7, iPhone 6S or iPhone 6C.

VCPost wrote that there might be two approaches regarding Apple's plans for the iPhone in 2015. The "tick-tock" technology will have a huge impact in determining the official release date of the iPhone 7 or iPhone 6S.

The first approach focuses on the possibility of Apple Inc. launching iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in 2015, in line with the "tick-tock" upgrade system. According to the same article by VCPost, every tick-cycle results to the release of an iPhone featuring huge improvements, while every tock-cycle features the launch of an iPhone with minor incremental improvements. This means that a "tick" will lead to manufacturing technology enhancements while a "tock" will provide new microarchitecture. Therefore, the "tick" would be the iPhone 6 and the "tock" would be the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or iPhone 6c.

The second approach involves the possibility of Apple Inc. veering away from the "tick-tock" upgrade process. This will mean that instead of releasing an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6C, the company will immediately jump to launch the iPhone 7 in 2015. Apple Inc. might go directly to the seventh device because users might only wait for the iPhone 7 if they release an iPhone 6S in 2015. Profits, as a result, can be negatively affected.

However, Know Your Mobile noted that it's possible that both models, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7, may release in 2015. The iPhone 6S may be introduced together with the Apple Watch before the end of June 2015, while the iPhone 7 will be launched late in the third quarter of the year, following the September release pattern of previous iPhone models.

PC Pro reported that Martin Hajek, a concept artist, and Computer Build.tv. collaborated to determine how the iPhone 7 will probably look like. According to Hajek, the iPhone 7 will most likely feature a similar design as the iPhone 6, but will sport a variety of new features. Touch ID will be available, but rumored to be integrated straight into the display. The Face Time camera, phone speaker and proximity sensor will move to the top edge of the smartphone. There might also be an antenna ring in lieu of the antenna bars. The iPhone 7 is also rumored to present dual-camera technology.
