Artie Lange reportedly thought that it was a bad move for the Philadelphia Eagles to sign Tim Tebow.

Lange told TMZ, "I don't think Tim Tebow can help you on any level - not publicity-wise, not on the field. It's an odd signing to me, it really is."

As a comedian, Lange may have made the comment as a joke. Fans have yet to see what the former Heisman trophy winner can offer the Eagles in his comeback.

The 27-year-old Tebow finally got his chance to return to the NFL. He flew into Philadelphia on April 19, 2015, to attend the start of the Eagles' offseason program the next day, ESPN reported. Tebow previously worked out with the team in March and is set to earn the minimum salary.

Philadelphia also attempted to trade backup quarterback Matt Barkley but no offer was made.

Since the Eagles brought in Tebow, it will be among the most interesting teams in the 2015 NFL season just by looking at the number of quarterbacks that they currently have. Based on the same report by ESPN, the team already has Mark Sanchez, G. J. Kinne, Sam Bradford and of course, Barkley in their roster.

New York Times reported that coach Chip Kelly has been making a number of controversial moves in the offseason, including releasing the Eagles' starting quarterback, best receiver and best running back. It's still a unknown how Kelly will utilize the team's current list of quarterbacks but the outlet speculated that Bradford will most likely start for Philadelphia in the 2015 season with Sanchez supporting him. Meanwhile, Tebow may need to contend with Barkley for the third spot.

Tebow last played in the NFL in 2012 and had worked as an analyst for ESPN's SEC Network. He continued training in the past two years with the intent to return to the NFL. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010 and played two years with the team before being transferred to the New York Jets. He subsequently trained with the New England Patriots before the team let him go in August 2013.

247 Sports reported that Tebow will wear No. 11 for the Philadelphia Eagles. Wide receiver Josh Huff wore the number in the 2014 NFL season and switched to No. 13. Tebow previously wore No. 5 and No. 15 but both numbers have already been retired by Philadelphia.

Tebow has a lot to prove in the upcoming season and Eagles fans are about to witness a very unique season with its string of quarterbacks.
