A recent report from Venture Capital Post said that the next iPad Air tablet would be getting the new iOS 9 and an improved Siri. VC Post said it is likely that the next iPad Air would be getting a new OS update, the iOS 9, even though Apple has just released the iOS 8.

The news outlet said the new OS is expected to bring in new features. It is expected that the new OS will focus on the device's speed and stability, meaning there would be less crashes. Note that the iOS 6 brought Maps and the Do Not Disturb function; iOS 7 on the other hand included Control Center, Touch ID, and CarPlay function. The current iOS 8, meanwhile, showcased Health, Continuity and Apple Pay.

Aside from being faster and more stable, the new iOS 9 would bring improvements to Apple's official virtual assistant Siri. VC Post said there is a possibility that users will now be able to use Siri for simple tasks even without an Internet connection. Other features the new OS might bring include new iOS color and theme, multiple user accounts, and wireless charging.

MacWorld said it is likely that the new iPad would come out at the same time the iOS 9 comes out. It said that there is a possibility for this to happen in September. While many are suggesting that the next iPad Air would boast of an even thinner size, MacWorld, in a separate report, is saying that Apple will probably opt to keep iPad Air 2's 6.1 mm thickness.

Android Origin earlier reported that it is likely for Apple to keep its classic iPad design in its next-generation iPads. Android Origin says it is very likely that the new tablet would get a RAM upgrade as Apple announced before that its 2015 products would feature more memory. Christian Today, on the other hand, says it would be 4GB worth of RAM.

Also, there are speculations that the new iPad Air would be getting a stylus. However, remember that Apple founder Steve Jobs was personally against the stylus technology before. But we don't know yet for sure.

Aside from this, Android Origin said there is a possibility that the mute toggle switch would come back on the new iPad Air 3. It is also likely that the tablet would get the new Apple Pay and Touch ID feature.

The new tab is also said to get new processors, as suggested by Christian Today. Specifically, A9 processors are allegedly coming. The processors, according to the same report, are already being manufactured in a Samsung plant in Texas. It further said that the new chip will be thinner, lighter, but more efficient through 14 nm FinFET technology.

Apple has not yet confirmed whether these speculations are correct.
