President Barack Obama's campaign posted a video today featuring Big Bird and mocking comments Mitt Romney made during last week's presidential debate. Now, Sesame Street wants the campaign to remove the 31-second clip.

The video starts off with a serious tone, showing "criminals"and "gluttons of greed" Bernie Madoff, Ken Lay and Dennis Kozlowskii, revealing top "evil genius" Big Bird.

"Mitt Romney knows it's not Wall Street you have to worry about, it's Sesame Street," the narrator says.

That followed by a clip of Romney saying he's going to stop government subsidies to PBS.

That ad, however, doesn't have everyone laughing.

Huffington Post reports that the Sesame Street workshop, which runs "Sesame Street," put out a statement asking the Obama campaign to take down the ad, which prominently features its show's star.

"Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down."

Huffington Post's Amanda Terkel tweeted earlier that she contacted the Obama administration and they are" reviewing Sesame Street's concerns."

Commenters on the video has mixed reactions:

"Abusing Big Bird by using it for attack ads is disgusting and shows complete disregard for the innocence of little children. It shows how low the Chicago Desperation Dem Attack Mob stoops. .BHO endorsing such garbage, shows him as severely lacking decorum and maturity expected, in a POTUS.," said Reason Before Anger.

"Is there no common courtesy or respect anymore? It seems that both campaigns are taking what they want for granted and doing damage control later. Leading by example? If thats the case, we are all in trouble,' said Wakohnen.

"Freedom of Speech.... it's not implying Sesame Street affiliation but showing the President mocking Romney Big Budget Cut Detail. Calm down, all!" said DarknSoul.
