The fifth season of "Pretty Little Liars" is less than ten episodes away from its finale, but the Liars feel like they've finally cracked the case and figured out who "A" was, none other than Alison DiLaurentis, International Business Times reported.

ABC Family's mystery drama series "Pretty Little Liars" has been on air since 2010, spawning five seasons, more than a hundred episodes, a few special episodes and a spin off series. However, after so long and so many episodes, the identity of the mysterious "A" has yet to be revealed, leaving fans wondering if maybe season five was going to be the season that finally spilled the beans.

It certainly seemed like it, going by the recent episodes. The Liars, Hanna, Aria, Spencer and Emily, have deduced that Alison was the evil "A" who kept tormenting them and likely killed Mona as a way to keep people from finding out her secret. However, they didn't really have much proof.

Have no fear, as show creator Marlene King teased fans that they didn't have to wait much longer as the reveal was coming, and soon.

During an interview with E! News, King said, "I know a lot of people were afraid that they would have to wait until the end of season seven to find out who Big A is, and we made it clear that they don't."

"You will find out before season seven and the story of Big A," she said. King didn't hint on whether or not it was Alison.

That's still a lot of time to wait though. "Pretty Little Liars" was renewed for two more seasons last year, making it ABC Family's longest-running original series to date. "Before season seven" could still mean the remainder of season five and entirety of season six.

King, however, has high hopes for the story behind "A."

"I can't wait to share the story," she told E! "The identity of Big A is really cool, but to me, what I always loved most about Big A is the story of Big A, the motivation, what's behind it all."

She added, "I haven't been that excited to share something with the fans since Mona's reveal."

That's certainly something to look forward to and wait patiently for, even more for those who enjoyed how Mona's storyline turned out. So hopefully, King and the writers deliver.

"Pretty Little Liars" stars Ashley Benson as Hanna Marin, Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery, Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings, Shay Mitchell as Emily Fields, Sasha Pieterse as Alison DiLaurentis, and more.

It airs every Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC Family.
