Target Deals on HD TVs, Xbox One & More

Black Friday is still a couple of weeks away, but retail stores have already started announcing what is in store for shoppers this holiday season, and according to Android Origin, this year is going to be one for the books.

According to the website, Target will be matching other retailers in sales prices, and ads are beginning to leak. Although official ads are yet to arrive, there are many possibilities about what is going down in the biggest sale of the year.

Despite the fact that Black Friday is traditionally set on the day after thanksgiving, many retailers have begun to attract shoppers on turkey day instead, in spite of protests. Many of them begin pushing their sweet deals from Thursday all the way until Cyber Monday, with Kmart planning to start their deals 6AM on Thanksgiving, making it a 43-hour shopping extravaganza.

Walmart, however, is expected to open their doors at 6PM on Thanksgiving for the Black Friday spree, offering "guaranteed stock" items that you have to wait in line outside to get required passes.

Meanwhile, Target has not yet announced when they will open for the holiday shopping, but as always, their deals are expected to appear on the newspapers a day before Thanksgiving. It can be expected however, that $50 will be taken off the Xbox One, with a few deals for games, and that there will be significant price decreases for other consoles like the PS4. Apple products like the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 are also expected to be slashed $50 upwards, while HDTVs would come at significantly lower prices ranging from $400 to $600.

The generous sales may also come because of the possibility that Target is using Black Friday for their close-out sales. The company may be in trouble because the annual report that stated 19 new stores opened in the US in 2013, and will have closed just as many by February 2015.

According to the Inquisitr, the retail giant is going out of business and may be closing at least 11 stores across the country. The Huffington Post also stated that Target is permanently closing the stores six months after they closed down eight other locations previously.

A statement printed by the Inquistr read, "The decision to close a Target store is only made after careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of a particular location. All eligible store team members are being offered the option to transfer to other Target stores."

That means they are not planning to kick hundreds of employees to the streets, but that remains to be seen. The websited reported that among the 11 stores that will close by February are in Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Illionois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Texas.
