Calling the attention of all caffeinated drink fanatics! Starbucks has a new drink in town, and it's called the Chestnut Praline Latte, which is the first Holiday drink that the company has released in five years. Huffington Post reports that Starbucks confirmed via email that the new drink will be revealed on November 12.

The Chestnut Praline is not actually a new recipe. The drink debuted last year in a few cities, but it is only this year that the coffee chain will have it available nationwide, joining two other holiday drinks, the Gingerbread Latte and the Peppermint Mocha.

One can't help but wonder, what does the Chestnut Praline taste like?

A spokesperson for Starbucks told Fox News that the new beverage is "inspired by the time-honored holiday tradition of warm roasted chestnuts... with freshly steamed milk and flavors of caramelized chestnuts and spices."

The original recipe is topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with crunchy praline crumbs, but like any beverage from Starbucks, it can be customized according to taste. For those looking out for their daily calorie consumption, it is also said to come at 330 calories, making it 50 calories lighter than the Pumpkin Spiced.

But what about all those caffeine addicts who are allergic to nuts? As it turned out, there is no need to worry because the Chestnut Praline Latte does not contain chestnuts, or even nuts for that matter.

According to Mashable, the introduction of the new drink may be caused by a slight decline in sales last year. According to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz:

"Holiday 2013 witnessed a seismic shift in consumer behavior in which many traditional brick-and-mortar retailers experienced a decline in foot traffic compared to significant growth in online shopping... Since that time, we have been focused on radically redefining the Starbucks retail experience for our partners, customers and stores."

Buzzfeed noted that the test market which the Chestnut Praline was introduced to last year seemed to like the drink, so this could be the next Christmas in a cup.
