Strong rumors of an infection in the buttocks surround actress Livia Brito, who might be going through one of the most difficult moments of her life health wise.

The current host of the contest show "Bailando por un sueño" had undergone a surgery to increase the size of her buttocks by injecting polymer into them, a product that her body is now rejecting, causing her a serious infection and unbearable pains, according to what a source close to the actress told TV Notas.

According to the magazine, Brito traveled to Colombia five years ago to undergo the plastic surgery; however, the lack of information on future reactions came back around and the young woman was forced to undergo medical treatment.

"Over five years ago she traveled to Colombia and decided to inject polymer in her buttocks, to augment them. Back then, that was fashionable, because the consequences were not well known; now she regrets doing it," said a friend of the actress.

The Cuban actress, who in 2010 triumphed in Mexico with her role as Fernanda Sandoval in the telenovela "Triunfo del amor" and who starred in "Porque te quiero, te quiero", has not made any statements in the matter.

Currently, 27-year-old Brito is acting as the host of a dancing contest show for Televisa in Mexico, where, according to local media, the young woman has had some problems with the production and has annoyed some of the judges such as Roberto Mitsuko, who has repeatedly complained about delays in recording due to Brito.

The subject of delays in recording is not the only thing that has annoyed the production of "Bailando por un sueño", a show which is also hosted by comedian Adrián Uribe, but also rumors of conflicts with the wardrobe department, due to Brito's complaints with the clothes that she wears in the show.
