Two small boys aged 5 and 6 were seriously injured on the afternoon of Monday when a gust of wind blew an inflatable bouncy house into the air in which there children were playing in South Glens Falls, New York.

According to a report published by newspaper Post Star, the minors fell from a height of at least 15 feet above the ground, and were urgently taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention.

A 10 year old girl who was playing with the boys was also thrown out of the inflatable castle, but suffered only minor injuries and is reported as stable. One of the boys fell on top of a parked car, while the other crashed against asphalt, reported the quoted newspaper.

Witnesses who were close to the place ran to help the small boys, while the inflatable structure kept flying and found three blocks away from the home where a neighbor, who was not the father of the children, had installed the castle.

The mother of the children, whose name was not revealed to the media, said that the inflatable castle had been installed by a neighbor for the kids of the neighborhood to play in, but the stakes he had placed on the ground were taken out by the force of the wind.

"My older daughters witnessed the incident and said it was horrible. A great gust of wind tore off the structure from the ground with the kids inside," a mother told the Post Star, quoted by The Daily News on its website.

Emily Boucher, a student from South Glens Falls said she was getting ready to watch a lacrosse game when she managed to take an impressive picture which shows the inflatable structure several feet above the ground.

So far there are no reports on the health of the injured children.
