The police of the city of Los Angeles started an investigation against pop singer Justin Bieber over an alleged attempted robbery against a woman who had taken many pictures of him with her phone.

An official of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said that the controversial Canadian singer had attempted to steal a mobile device from a young woman.

LAPD spokesperson Rosario Herrera assured that the singer has not been arrested or interrogated for the crime. The detectives interviewed the victim, who said the event happened at around 10:30 p.m. in the Van Nuys area, reported Reuters.

According to Sgt. Paul McLaughlin, of the Devonshire Division of LAPD, Bieber attempted to steal the woman's phone, and the singer can be accused of attempted robbery.

Scandals won't stop following Bieber who in July must face a trial in Miami for the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, resisting authorities and using an expired driving license.

In the city of Los Angeles, Bieber is investigated for a case of vandalism against a neighbor's home. According to statements presented to the authorities of the Los Angeles County, the 20 year old singer has not been legally accused of the crime; however, if he is, the case might undermine his situation in other judicial investigations in Miami and Canada.

According to a video published by TMZ, Bieber and a group of young men invaded the property of a man in Calabasas in January, throwing eggs at windows, walls and doors of the home. In the video, the man is heard shouting at the young people to go away and Bieber replying with harsh swear words. (Watch the video published by TMZ here)

According to news agency Reuters, Bieber's house in Calabasas, California, in northern Los Angeles, was inspected by authorities on January 14 over the case of vandalism and the sworn statement was presented last month to obtain a warrant to check the singer's Instagram account.
