Australian actor Hugh Jackman revealed on Tuesday that it is likely that he will once more get treatment for skin cancer, after he publicly revealed on his Instagram account a picture of him after a second intervention to remove cancer cells from his nose.

During his Tuesday visit to Beijing to promote his most recent movie, "X-Men: Days of Future Past", the 45-year-old actor, known for his role as Wolverine in Marvel's popular saga, said that it's likely that he might have more cancer cells developing in his nose after his recent surgical intervention.

According to the Fox' website, Jackman was present during the press conference with a bandage on his nose, and told The Associated Press that: "I'm a realist about the future and it's more than likely that I'm going to have at least one more intervention."

Despite everything, the Australian actor calmed his fans and assured that his condition is stable.

"The beautiful thing about this is that it's preventable, it's a matter of making the necessary procedure," he added.

Last November, the actor announced on social networks that a carcinoma of nose cells, a type of slow-growing skin cancer, had been removed.

In that ocassion, Jackman said that his wife, Deborah-Kee Furness asked him to get his nose checked due to a small mark on his skin. "Heavens, she was right! I had a basal carcinoma. Please, don't be fools like me. Get checked. And USE sunscreen," wrote the actor on his Instagram account.

Jackman announces that he will play Wolverine again

During his stay in China, Hugh Jackman, who has starred in the mutant superheroes saga for over 14 years as Logan/Wolverine, said that his role in the next movie, set for 2017, might not be his last.

"I think I exaggerated a little when I said that I was almost sure that the next movie would be my last," he said, smiling, reported The Huffington Post.
