On Monday, April 7, California police requested to present charges against two students involved in a fight with a high school teacher in Santa Mónica, local media reported.

According to a report published by KTLA, the two students, one 18 years old and another 16, were detained for their participation in a fight last Friday, April 5.

The events were registered in a video which has been circulating on social networks and YouTube since last weekend. The video shows how the two students hit the high school teacher after he accused one of them of selling drugs inside the school.

The question infuriated the student and seconds later he punched the teacher, who has been identified as Marc Black, who is also the school's wrestling coach.

According to a report from The Associated Press, quoted by ABC, the students who witnessed the fight said that the teacher attempted to confiscate something from the students when the fight broke out.

The video shows how the professor only grabs the students, but never punches him back, which is why authorities have filed charges against the 18-year-old student over threatening a school teacher, assaulting a school employee, possessing a weapon (a knife found among his personal effects), and marijuana possession.

The 16-year-old student, however, would only face assault charges.

The names of the students involved were not released, however, students identified one of them as Blair Moore.
