A character who suffered death at the hands of his enemies came back to life on the latest episode of "Revolution."

In "The Patriot Act," Monroe (David Lyons) comes back from the dead, and Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) is the one who saves him. Soon after Monroe awakens, an explosion rocks Willoughby, devastating the town and killing many. However, the Patriots are not behind the blast. The whole town then goes into lockdown mode.

Rachel has been trailed by an old colleague named Dr. Horn (Zeljko Ivanek), who is now the President's senior science advisor. Dr. Horn calls in Rachel's father (Stephen Collins) to ask him questions about Aaron (Zak Orth), who was mysteriously resurrected. Horn suspects that Rachel resurrected him, but her father denies it. After being threatened, he tells the doctor the truth about Aaron.

The gang tries to get Aaron to escape town through the sewers. Aaron and his girlfriend are found trying to exit by some Patriots, but are rescued by Monroe. Monroe runs away as the troops arrive, and in the midst of the confusion, Aaron lights a Patriot on fire. It appears like his new powers are triggered by intense emotion.

The episode then flashes back to seven years before the blackout, when Rachel's dad received the gift of modern medicine from a mysterious man. It then snaps back to the present day, where Rachel's dad is watching while Patriots waterboard a suspect. He tells them they are taking it too far, but they tell him that there is more medicine for more diseases, proving that he's been working with the Patriots the whole time. Rachel is devastated when she and Miles (Billy Burke) find out the truth about her father.

Meanwhile, Jason (JD Pardo) wakes up to his father, Tom (Giancarlo Esposito), and claims to be recovered. As they try to leave, Jason seems to go turncoat. He gives the all clear, then Tom finds his son standing over the dead bodies of two other brainwashed kids from the reprogramming center, holding a pair of scissors.

On the next episode, "Come Blow Your Horn," the group will try to make their escape.

The synopsis reads: "Aaron's deathly experience attracts attention; Miles and the gang try to escape; Rachel and Gene struggle with their relationship, which impacts Charlie; and Neville gambles with the Patriots."

Watch the promo for "Come Blow Your Horn," which airs Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
