The Halloween-themed episode of "Grey's Anatomy" had all of the spookiness of the ghoulish holiday mixed with the usual drama expected at Grey Sloan Memorial.

In "Thriller," Murphy (Tessa Ferrer) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) have a fling. Then a drugged "zombie" bites Murphy, forcing her to take an HIV rapid test and wait for the results. Arizona bonds with Murphy, allowing them to have a real connection. Murphy's test results all come back negative.

An elderly woman with asthma comes looking for Heather Brooks, who had been treating her under the table. Shane (Gaius Charles) finally gets closure about Brooks' death, and promises to help the woman from now on.

An angry Alex (Justin Chambers) yells at patients' dads, as well as Jo (Camilla Luddington). Meanwhile, there is no sign of his father. Jo (donning a Tinkerbell costume) apologizes to Alex about interfering with him and his father.

Weber (James Pickens Jr.) then asks the interns to operate on him, and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is livid. She calls the interns crazy, and doesn't think they are up for the job. Weber then takes Bailey off the surgery, saying she's preventing the interns from learning. He apologizes to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and asks her to take charge instead.

Ben (Jason George) is back at Grey Sloan because he quit his residency. He hangs out with Derek (Patrick Dempsey), and they bond over the idea of being a (sort-of) stay-at-home dad. Bailey is angry once again, and tells Ben that she's disappointed in him.

As for Cristina (Sandra Oh), she brings cupcakes to Meredith's kiddie Halloween party. She feels out of place with everyone fussing over the children, so she goes to the bar and Shane buys her tequila.

Episode 8, "Two Against One," will feature Meredith and Cristina's already strained relationship getting stretched even further.

The synopsis reads: "The issues between Meredith and Cristina hit a boiling point when one of them ultimately betrays the other at the hospital. Derek tells Jackson that he needs to let go and allow the second year doctors to work on his patients, and April and Matthew make a bold decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Bailey has difficulties with Ben's return."
