The latest episode of "Supernatural" featured two visitors from the magical land of Oz.

Two updated versions of Dorothy and the Wicked Witch arrive after Dean (Jensen Ackles) knocks over a bottle containing magic goo that opens portals. He unwittingly reverses a spell that Dorothy did 75 years ago to trap the witch, which ended up trapping her as well.

Dean also confronts Sam (Jared Padalecki) for not making himself at home at the Master of Letters headquarters. Sam then confesses that he has always had trouble with the concept of a home because, unlike Dean, he never really had one. Even though Dean was only four years old when their mother died, he has more memories of a normal life than Sam does. Sam adds that every time he's tried to make a home for himself, something has gone wrong.

Meanwhile, they go on the hunt for the witch, who is loose in the bunker and trying to find a key that would turn any door into a portal to Oz. At one point, the witch sends Dean flying into a nightstand. While he's down, she takes aim, ready to kill, until Charlie (Felicia Day) takes the hit for him, and the witch kills her with one zap.

Sam's internal angel (and life-saver) Ezekiel (Tahmoh Penikett) is able to bring Charlie back to life.

Saving Charlie made Zeke's powers diminish, meaning he could not send the witch away. So the gang battles the witch the old-fashioned way, with cunning and a bit of force.

Charlie and Dorothy are eventually able to kill the witch for good, and Dorothy ends up taking Charlie to Oz. Charlie says that maybe she'll finally find the adventure she always wanted there.

On the next episode, "Dog Dean Afternoon," Dean will try to acquire Dr. Dolittle powers to communicate with animals.

The synopsis reads: "While investigating two bizarre murders, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) realize there is an eyewitness to both gruesome deaths - a German Sheppard. Anxious to find out if they are dealing with a witch, a skinwalker or other supernatural monster, the guys look up a spell that could let Dean "communicate" with the dog. Unfortunately, the spell comes with side effects that no one saw coming."
