'Grimm' Season 3, Episode 2 Spoilers: Can Nick be Cured? [Video]

"Grimm's" third season premiere picked up where season two left off, with Nick on the brink of being zombified.

In the premiere,"The Ungrateful Dead," it turns out that Grimms don't respond to the Cracher-Mortel's poison the same way normal humans do, meaning Nick turns into a powerful, rage-filled zombie machine.

The rest of the gang has to save both the zombies who were attacking them and also figure out how to save Nick (David Giuntoli). They call in Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) to fend off the zombies. They then realize that they can turn the antidote into a bomb-like contraption to turn all of the infected humans back to normal. They try the strategy, and it's a success.

With Renard's (Sasha Roiz) help, they realize that Baron Samedi is taking Nick to the airport. They arrive in time to see the plane take off, but have no idea what will happen to Nick.

Baron doesn't realize that his goo will not affect Nick as it affected the others. Zombified Nick breaks out of his coffin and attacks the Baron, as well as the pilots on the plane, causing the plane to crash. After the crash, he walks out into a random town, filled to the brim with zombie range.

By the time the gang tracks him down, Nick destroyed a bar and has beaten many of its patrons. He then runs into the forest, where he finds a house. He overhears two parents and a child talking, and he then charges up to the front door.

Meanwhile, Adalind (Claire Coffee) still does not get her powers back after killing Frau Pech (Mary McDonald-Lewis), so Stefania (Shohreh Aghdashloo) explains the post-murder ceremony for Adalind to get back her powers.

On the next episode, "PTZD," "Monroe, Hank, Juliette and Rosalee continue their quest to cure Nick of the zombie plague before it's too late."

Series stars Claire Coffee and Bitsie Tulloch, who plays Juliette, spoke to TVLine about what viewers will see on upcoming episodes.

On future episodes, Juliette's medical expertise will come in handy. "Juliette is the scientist and the doctor. She's the one who has an actual true medical background, so that's what she's bringing to the table, as well as just the fact that she's known him [Nick] longer... There's also something to be said for that fact that Juliette's the only character that's not a cop or a detective and not a Wesen," Tulloch said. "She's just a real human, so that's bringing something to the table, too."

As for Adalind, her feelings about trading her baby for her powers may change. Coffee said that Adalind wouldn't have had feelings for her child before because "she still had her Hexenbiest powers, because they really shielded her from any sort of normal human emotion or response."

"But now that she is a human being, just like anybody else, I would think it seems like the mothering instinct is the most formidable of all," Coffee said. "I would think that that would certainly affect her in some way."
