Marshmallows are waiting with bated breath for the "Veronica Mars" movie, which won't be out until early 2014. And by the looks of new, previously unreleased footage from the film, they won't be disappointed.

As revealed in behind-the-scenes interviews for the film, the film's star, Kristen Bell, said "Logan's pull is too much" for Veronica. So when Logan calls and needs her help because he's been accused of murder, she leaves her current boyfriend, Piz, in New York, and goes back to Neptune.

The clip also shows Mac, Wallace, and the inevitable sexual tension between Logan and Veronica.

According to Moviefone, the film adaptation of the series features the cast 10 years after Mars (Kristen Bell) has graduated from Neptune High School. Veronica is now a successful lawyer in New York, and comes back to her hometown to attend her high school reunion. The trailer features the drama-laden high school reunion, a cameo by Jamie Lee Curtis and Veronica's potentially romantic reunion with former flame Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls). The trailer also features Veronica decking her old enemy, Madison Sinclair (Amanda Noret).

The film would not have come to fruition without the help from legions of fans of the cult show. The idea for the film, which is still untitled, was brought to Kickstarter in March by creator Rob Thomas in an effort to raise money to complete the project. Once marshmallows caught wind of the project, the response was overwhelming. The film raised $5.7 million from over 90,000 backers. Some of movie's donors were even given the privilege to be extras in the film, which was shot in a mere 23 days.

The New York Daily News reports that Bell was blown away by the support of the show's fans.

"Fans are cool, but 'Veronica Mars' fans are awesome," Bell says. "That's just kind of the way it works."

The series, which ran from 2005-2007, focused on popular high school girl Veronica Mars (Bell) in the affluent seaside town of Neptune, California after the murder of Lily Kane, her best friend. The murder prompted her ousting from her group of ostensible friends. Her father, the town's sheriff, was then voted out of his job after he made some controversial accusations about the deceased girl's family. The ousting was the impetus for Mr. Mars to open his own private detective agency. Veronica joined her father as an assistant, and became a sarcastic, 21st century Nancy Drew, solving mysteries while navigating adolescence.
