As the bitter winter winds swoop in, things are just heating up down in Bluebell, Alabama on The CW’s “Hart of Dixie.” Zoe’s unexpected return, with an unexpected new man on her arm, has turned the quaint southern town upside down. Now three episodes in, Season 3’s major plot points are developing, and here’s how they could play out over the course of the season.

And Lemon has been at the center of it all. She staged a fake relationship with Wade, indulged in a secret affair, quit the Belles and is now forming a resistance against them. Her portrayer, Jaime King, recently had her first child, inhibiting her Season 3 shooting schedule, which means her storyline could come to an end prior to the season’s close, so what’s going to happen from there?

For starters, Zoe and Joel’s relationship obviously has to go somewhere, and based on their lack of chemistry, it may crash and burn earlier than expected. It’s nothing compared to the love Zoe and Wade shared throughout the first two seasons. It pales in comparison. Out with the new and in with the old.

Speaking of Wade, he’s budding friendship with Joel feels wrong. Why would he stick up for him to Zoe? Their friendship could eventually get between Zoe and Joel’s romance, or perhaps that’s been Wade’s endgame all along.

Meanwhile, Lynly and George’s relationship has come as a very unexpected twist early on in the season. Not only does it prove Lynly’s vulnerability and desperate need for a man, but it also shows George’s weaknesses and faltering integrity as the show moves forward.

Now that the season has found its footing, it needs to pick up the pace. What direction do you think it will go?
