On the latest episode of NBC drama "Revolution," Monroe and Charlie were almost reunited with the rest of the group.

In "Patriot Games," Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) is making her way back to Willoughby, but not before being drugged at a bar in Northern Texas and almost being assaulted by a group of men. Monroe (David Lyons) is the unlikely hero who saves her.

In Willoughby, Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell), who had been unconscious for a few days, wakes up and goes into town to see soldiers in U.S. Patriot uniforms. The Patriots explain that they are U.S. forces from Cuba, and that they're making their way westward across the U.S. to try to restore peace. Somehow, the leader of the troops, Ed Truman, knows Rachel's true identity.

Rachel learns that the town of Willoughby is under lockdown, ostensibly for the people's own protection. But Rachel and Miles (Billy Burke) suspect that it's due to something going on outside the town. Meanwhile, Halloween goes on as normal--even in a dystopian world without power.

A Patriot soldier then kills a resident who snuck out of town and blames his death on the Andover clan.

Aaron (Zak Orth) faints and has a vision of Miles walking near the cages that were at Andover's compound. At that very moment, Miles is walking near those cages, where he sees the mysterious fireflies. Miles finds Andover, who says he was betrayed by the Patriots. Andover escaped being put on a train and stayed behind. Andover tries to shoot Miles, but the gun doesn't have any bullets. A fight ensues, and Miles stabs Andover, effectively killing him.

Back in town, Rachel's "friend" knocks her out and attempts to kill her. It turns out he was a Patriot for seven years, and wants to kill her so she can't divulge the secret about the nukes. As he's about to stab her to death, Rachel head-butts him, knocking him out momentarily, enabling her to take the knife and stab him.

Miles then comes upon soldiers who are executing Andover's men (and all the while, Aaron is still seeing a vision of what's happening). Two soldiers try to kill Miles, and at that moment, they burst into flames. Miles goes back to camp, and tells the rest that it's a patriot occupation, and that "every good occupation deserves a resistance."

As for Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), he takes charge of the troops in Savannah after Cooke is outed as a drug addict.

In the last scene, Monroe and Charlie are in a horse-drawn carriage 10 miles outside of town.

On the next episode, "One Riot, One Ranger," the gang continues to deal with the new big bad, the Patriots. The synopsis reads: "Neville saves a Patriot, old friends are reunited and the Texas Rangers visit Willoughby." Aaron will also start to realize that he has a special power, and Charlie and Monroe will finally be reunited with the group.

Watch the synopsis for "One Riot, One Ranger" below, which airs at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 on NBC.
