Autumn is taking over as the official wedding season. Everywhere you look there are happy couples sharing vows and embarking on the eternal commitment to love one another through sickness and health. So where should look to get your dose of shiny wedding rings and subpar wedding bands? Easy. Look no further than the fall’s biggest television series.
Not only are Booth and Brennan gearing up for their major wedding episode on “Bones,” but now that Kate Beckett has returned to New York City, fans of “Castle” can expect a wedding episode of her own before the season’s close. But don’t get too excited. The anticipated nuptials may not come as soon as we hoped, but remember, patience is a virtue. Stana Katic herself pushed for a Beckett/Castle reunion in New York, but according to TV Guide, she’s in no rush to tie the knot.
“I don’t know of the wedding needs to happen in the next few months or not,” Katic said. “It’s not as much of a push for me because they’re together and they’re a solid couple… There’s so much juice to be mined from the complications of getting a wedding together, especially when you have characters like Martha or Lanie or Captain Gates on the outskirts. I think that that will make for a really fun wedding planning scenario.”
But alas, that does not mean there will be plenty of action and heart wrenching drama along the way. In the upcoming episodes, Katic hints that there will be several scenes between Beckett and her long lost best friend Lanie, who we haven’t seen since the engagement, where they will address their faltering friendship as a result of Beckett’s new relationship status, TVLine reports.
“Castle” airs Monday nights on ABC.
