“NCIS: LA” has returned. Detective Deeks and Sam have escaped the clutches of torture, and although they will need some time to recover from the lingering effects of their horrid experience, next week’s episode will surely help ease the pain.
In episode 3, titled “Omni,” the team attempts to expose the details surrounding the death of a biotech head hancho and find out who may have compromised a vaccine project. But more importantly, Kensi will head to the racetrack in one of Hetty’s most prized possessions. Curious? Check out the “prized possession” in the photo here.
The episode will feature images of Irwindale Speedway and could very well host a big time action sequence on the track. “What’s gonna happen to this baby…?” tweeted producer John P. Kousakis, referring to a photo of a tractor trailer. Racecars and trucks? Never a good combination.
While the the action on the speedway unfolds, Deeks struggles to recalibrate back to his normal life. To make matters more difficult, Hetty and Nate’s concerns concerning his relationship with Kensi will throw a wrench in their blossoming romance.
According to showrunner Shane Brennan, “In Episode 4, there’s a scene between Hetty and Granger, where they’re talking about Kensi and Deeks, and basically Hetty says, ‘Partnerships can be tricky.’ So it really cuts deeply into this season, and there are some very, very big surprises and big turns. This is probably the most laid-out season we’ve ever done. We know every turning point of this season and it really is quite powerful.”
