Miguel Cotto will be showcasing a more fundamental style of boxing, which includes more killer blows on the body, in his upcoming fight with Dominican Republic's Delvin Rodriguez on Saturday at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Cotto, who is now training under the tutelage of four-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach, has now arrived in Orlando roughly a week before the bout. A three-time division world champion, Cotto is looking to get his boxing career on track after back-to-back setbacks at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Austin Trout last year.

According to Roach, Cotto will be using his fundamental boxing skills to wear down Rodriguez in the 12-round bout. Roach, who will also train Manny Pacquiao for his upcoming fight against Brandon Rios in November, said Cotto is going to stick with throwing big shots to the body of his opponent.

"We [Cotto] are in a must-win situation for sure. I want to bring back that work to the body - his bread and butter," Roach told Dan Ambrose of Boxing News 24. "We just need a reminder of the fundamentals of boxing. When you think of Miguel Cotto, you think of great body work. I can't wait for him to get in the ring for the first time with me in the corner."

The 32-year-old Cotto engaged in several brutal fights against top contenders throughout his career, but the challenge presented by an unheralded fighter like Rodriguez should not be underestimated.

Rodriguez (28 wins with 16 KOs and 6 losses) has been on a roll as of late, knocking out George Tahdooahnippah (6th round) and Freddy Hernández (8th round) in his last two fights.

Cotto enters this weekend's showdown as the huge favorite to win the match, yet the possibility of an upset really makes this fight a much-watch.
