Mexican bakery Bimbo signed a new international soccer star for a commercial, as it did last year with Barcelona's Argentinean Lionel Messi. This time, it was Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo who starred the ad alongside with Mexican actress Mónica Huarte, who played the role of a housewife, as reported by CNN.

In the Bimbo's ad, the Portuguese soccer star recognized the mother, played by Mónica Huarte, from another commercial and asked her for an autograph. The woman, who doesn't know anything about soccer, didn't recognize Ronaldo, and she even referred to Lionel Messi as a "basketball player." Nonetheless, she praised Cristiano Ronaldo's good physique and ensured him she can make him famous.

Ronaldo seemed to be amused with the woman's attitude and called her his "new image consultant." Later, a child is shocked to see the international soccer star in front of him.

A Good Year for Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo season's start has been surrounded by good news, so far: nine goals (six in La Liga and three in Champions League) in the latest seven official matches of the season, which made him overtake Hugo Sánchez's record becoming the fifth leading scorer in Real Madrid history, according to La Tercera's website.

Also, the new Bimbo face landed several lucrative advertising contracts with labels such as Armani, Pepsi and Nike, among others, as revealed by CNN.
