To every end there’s a new beginning. Or in this case, to every ending there’s another ending. Or, to every beginning of an end there’s a reintroduction to an end that’s beginning. Forget it. In order to avert an aneurysm, let’s get down to brass tax.

“How I Met Your Mother” has now entered its ninth and final season, and in a surprising twist of fate, one of its former guest stars will be making a highly anticipated cameo. Emmy award-winning actor Bryan Cranston, whose hit series “Breaking Bad” will come to an end this Sunday. Fresh off the “Breaking Bad” set, Cranston will change out of his meth cooking gear and join the “How I Met Your Mother” cast as Ted’s former boss Hammond Druthers during the series’ final season. The actor last appeared in Season 2 when Ted worked for the brash and pompous architect.

Speaking of Ted, fans are still anxiously waiting to see how she’ll get along with the lovesick puppy. Will they fall desperately in love? Will Ted crash and burn? Luckily Cristin Milioti confirms that there’s nothing to worry about.

“I think she’s a lovable nerd. She’s like a history nerd. I think she’s a bit of a music nerd. She’s like a literary nerd. She’s very funny, hopelessly awkward,” Milioti said. “She’s actually kind of a little bit like the female version of Ted.”

“We just figured out that we are shooting out first scene together today, our first fake kiss, well it will be a real kiss, but it’s fake,” Radnor says, almost as awkwardly as Ted would. “We have to do it.”

“How I Met Your Mother” airs Monday nights on CBS.
