Singer Matt Hunter, also known as the Latino Justin Bieber, talked about his latest single "Right Here, Right Now," music career, plans for the future and Latino heritage during an interview with Latina.

The 15-year-old star, who for years voiced cartoon character "Diego" and was known for his signature chant "Go, Diego, Go!," sings both in Spanish and English, since he was born in New York but has Italian-Colombian roots.

Hunter claimed he is very proud of being Colombian and confessed he loves having arepas with cheese and café for breakfast. "If I weren't Colombian, I don't think I'd be able to speak it as well. I feel like it's an advantage for me, especially with my career."

After being nominated at this year's Premios Juventud on Univision, Hunter is currently working to make his grand debut in mainstream U.S. pop music, the Huffington Post reported.

The young artist also revealed who his celebrity crush is. "Ooh, well now that Selena Gomez is single, I'd have to say her," said Hunter. He added that his dream date would be to take the former Disney star "to the top of the Empire State Building! Then, we'd do dinner at a nice Italian restaurant."

The "Mi Amor" singer also talked about his plans after finishing school. "I'm definitely planning on taking some sort of college courses, depending on how busy I am at the time," said the young singer.

"A lot of new in the future! Right now, I'm focused on this EP, which you can get on iTunes. I'm doing a small tour in South America at the end of the year. I'll be going through Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela," Hunter told Latina.

Hunter is already a huge star in Latin America. Now, he wants to replicate his success in the U.S. "I'm in the kitchen cooking up some good new stuff," he told the Huffington Post. "I think that just with the music, by myself, I could come out with a song. That would be a good crossover," he added.

The singer, who would love to get a Teen Choice Award someday, said he's working on new songs, some of them very different from his previous hits. "I can't give any names yet. But I'm definitely doing stuff that's different that I've never really done before. Different genres, more like pop, more like my first song 'Mi Amor,'" said Hunter, according to the Post.
