Ricky Martin is willing to show that he can also succeed in children's literary world and is ready for the release of his first children's book, "Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars," written in both English and Spanish.

According to news website Univisión, the Boricua artist wrote the story of Santiago, a boy who decides to follow his dreams, supported unconditionally by his father who believes in the unlimited potential of his son and will do anything in his power to help him succeed.

According to a press release quoted by Univisión, Ricky Martin wanted this to be a book "that inspires young readers to believe that the dreams woven in our imagination can become reality. My biggest wish is that Santiago wins a special place in the hearts of children and their parents through this inspiring story that shows that achieving dreams begins in trusting oneself."

The successful Boricua had already dabbled in literature a few years back when he edited his autobiography "Yo," in which he narrates the social and personal battles he had to face to accept his homosexuality, which led him to maintain relationships with women as a result of external pressure, informed news network CNN.

Now, with his new book, Ricky Martin wishes to inspire children to never give up on their dreams. The book will tell the story of Santiago, a boy who has lost his confidence in himself after his dream, being a part of a play, is denied. However, his father will become an inspiring figure who will help him conquer his dreams.

"Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars" is illustrated by Patricia Castelao. The book will be released as a hardcover on November 14, but pre-orders have already begun.
