Microsoft is offering Apple iPad owners a gift card if they trade in their tablet.
According to Microsoft, an iPad owner can receive a minimum $200 gift card if they trade in the Apple tablet.

The $200 gift card could be used to purchase Microsoft's Surface or other "cool products" at the Microsoft Store.
The offer, which expires on Oct. 27, is valid for the iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4.
If the iPad owner wants to trade in the Apple tablet for the Surface, they are eligible to use the gift card on the Surface with Windows RT or Surface with Windows 8 Pro.
"To be eligible for trade-in, device should include power cord, if available, and device cannot be password protected," noted Microsoft. "Microsoft Store gift-card value will be equal to trade-in value, and is subject to Microsoft's discretion and manager approval. All trade-ins are final."
The offer is not valid online and only at select Microsoft Stores.
The Surface with Windows 8 Pro's 128GB tablet-only device is priced at $899. The 64GB Surface with Windows 8 Pro's tablet-only model is priced at $799, down from its regular price of $899.
The Surface with Windows RT tablet's 32GB at the Microsoft Store is $349, down from the original $449 price, while the 64GB variant will cost the consumer $449, instead of $599.
The Microsoft offer comes as reports speculated about the next Surface tablet.
According to WindowsSuperSite's Paul Thurrott, the next Surface will have the Core i5 Haswell and an increased battery life of up to seven hours. He also added the Surface Pro 2 tablet will be available in two variants, likely the 4GB and 8GB models.
As Latinos Post reported, AllThingsD sources claimed Microsoft will hold an event on Sept. 23. The event may serve as the introduction for the next Surface tablets.
