"The X Factor," the show, developed by Simon Cowell, arrives in Mexico in its Spanish edition with the name "El Factor X Kids" in which Mexican singer Belinda, Angélica María, Chino y Nacho participate as judges, according to a report from Yucatan-based news website Sipse.

"When bringing any format, there is always a tropicalization process, one of the radical changes we had was making the show with children and teenagers, you have a smaller range and makes the competition more emotional", said Fernando Zuloaga, the producer of "The X Factor."

He also explained that there are great expectations due to the precedent set by boy band One Direction.

The news site quoted the producer, who pointed out that it's not necessary to keep the original format of a show to catch the attention of the public. "Every country is rooted in different things, but the format is made for an international scope, which gives Mexican talent an opportunity to shine, it's a platform to the music industry," he said.

The broadcast of "The X Factor Kids" begins on Monday in Mexico and will directly compete with "La Academia Kids" and "The Voice Mexico"; the same source points out that various bands and children no older than age 15 will participate.

Tapings of the show took place in Churubusco Studios in Mexico City and the participation of singers of various genres is planned, among which stands out Fidel Rueda.

Belinda, one of the judges in the show said, "The best thing about being a judge is sharing time with them and getting to know them, that's the best."

The article points out that Belinda and the other judges have become an example for the children on the show, and she said that the most important thing for contestants to remember is to reach their dreams, "persevere, work on what the teachers tell you and improve, keep your head high and improve with time."
