Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin has once again caught everybody's attention following the release of the trailer for his upcoming documentary movie entitled "Linsanity: The Jeremy Lin Story."

More than a year since his rise from a D-League player to a global phenomenon, Lin is set to conquer movie houses with his documentary flick showing the struggles and success of the world's most popular Asian-American hoops star.

The "Linsanity" movie trailer has already generated significant views on Youtube since its official launch two days ago and is expected to gain a larger following when it hits theaters on October 4.

Based on the early clips from the trailer, the movie will narrate the humble beginning of Lin as a multi-talented kid in California to a high school basketball sensation at Palo Alto High School.

However, despite being considered one of the finest young basketball players in the area, Lin found out that making a huge jump to the big league was a lot harder than he thought.

The movie, which also was an official entry at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, has so far received positive reviews from several movie critics and sports fans.

Lin is entering his fourth season in the league and second with the Rockets. Expectations will be greater for Lin next season as the ball club looks to contend for a championship with their young and talented core.

James Harden and newly-acquired center Dwight Howard might be the go-to-guys on the offensive end but Lin will have a crucial role as the primary playmaker for the team.

Lin averaged 13.4 points, 6.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals last season and he's expected to jack up his numbers next year with the arrival of Howard, who is a great pick-and-roll play finisher.
