Eminem's overseas mini-tour in Europe erupted in mayhem for 60 concertgoers who were arrested while attending his show on Saturday.

The world renowned rap star stopped in Slane, Ireland on Aug. 17 where he performed in front of a crowd of 80,000 people at Slane Castle. Security was tighter than usual with police checks and searches for drugs and weapons at the mega concert. There was also a strong security presence at the event, including 500 local stewards, 750 police officers, the Coast Guard and private security staff. Nonetheless, a number of attendees were arrested at the show in County Meath. According to the Press Association, 22 people were reportedly arrested for committing "public order offenses," while 35 concertgoers were also arrested for crimes including drug offenses and assault.

However, Superintendent Michael Devine said that most of Em's fans were well behaved. "The vast majority of fans heeded the advice given in advance of the event which ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience," he said.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí, the Irish police force, added that the number of arrests was "very much in line" with events of this scale.

Eminem performed in Ireland just days after the release of his first new song in years, "Survival." The track is featured in the video game "Call of Duty: Ghosts" and is the first track off of his upcoming eighth studio album scheduled to drop later on this year.

During the concert, Slim Shady opened with "Survival" and played a 22 track set before ending with the 8 Mile classic, "Lose Yourself," reports MTV UK.
