Korea Republic hosts Peru in an International friendly on Wednesday morning.

Both teams have gone in differing directions over the last few months despite decidedly different statures in world soccer. Korea is one of the top teams in Asia while Peru is considered one of the weakest in the South American CONMEBOL federation.

Last Five Korean Matches

The Asian squad has struggled lately with only one win in the last five games. The first of those five was the lone victory and it came against Uzbekistan back in June. After that, the team has lost to Iran and Japan, and drawn against China and Australia; Korea has not scored in those four games.

Last Five Peruvian Matches

Peru has won three of its last five and has only lost once; that lone defeat came against Colombia in a World Cup qualifier.

Previous Matchups

The two sides have only met three times before. On Feb. 11, 1971, Peru topped Korea 4-0 in its only win against the Asians. On Jan. 21, 1986, the Koreans got their revenge with a 1-0 win at home. They repeated the feat on May 17 of that same year and won 2-0. The last two games have been played in Korea; Wednesday's match will be the third straight on the Asian continent.

Prediction: Korea Republic is the clear favorite in this match and should have no trouble taking down a weak Peruvian side. Expect a 3-1 win from the Asian squad that has proven to be well organized and filled with agile players.

Kick-Off starts at 7 a.m. EST.

The match will be not be broadcast in the USA
