Samsung will likely see a number of their devices banned in the United States (U.S.) unless President Barack Obama intervenes.

As Latinos Post reported, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled Samsung violated two Apple iPhone patents and issued a U.S. imports ban, which will go into effect in early October. However, President Obama does hold the power to veto the ITC's decision.

According to a report from Bloomberg, it's unlikely the Obama administration will issue a veto for Samsung. The report acknowledged that Samsung cannot issue the same public-policy argument Apple used to sway the Obama administration when the ITC previously banned the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPad 2.

The ITC had issued a U.S. imports ban on the Apple devices in June for violating a Samsung patent. The Obama administration, however, vetoed the ITC's ruling on Aug. 3.

Analysts are divided on whether the Obama administration will in fact veto the ITC's Samsung decision.

"The U.S. administration can't just unconditionally use its power to veto the import ban on Apple's products alone," said Lee Sun Tae, an analyst at Seoul-based NH Investment & Securities, via Bloomberg. "Obama may issue the reprieve again for Samsung, and if not, it will only bring up even bigger international conflict."

Meanwhile, SU Intellectual Property patent lawyer Jung Dong Joon stated Obama could issue a veto for Samsung in hopes it would bring the South Korean-based organization and Apple back to the negotiation table for a settlement.

The potential Samsung devices ban does not include the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, or the latest incarnations of the Galaxy Note.

Should the Obama administration veto the ITC's Samsung ban?
