There's no good news yet for people that want the Android 4.3, or even the Android 4.2.2 update for their Samsung Galaxy S3, but AT&T has announced that the Android 4.1.2 Premium Suite is rolling out for their customers.

The Android 4.1.2 Premium Suite is a firmware update with a lot of little software extras that may help stave off Samsung Galaxy S3 owners' Android 4.2.2 (or Android 4.3) fever, at least for a little while - until the Android OS update finally gets a release date. AT&T hasn't mentioned anything about the Android 4.2.2 update though, so the waiting game continues.

The Samsung Premium Suite has a lot going for it, though. It includes some AT&T apps, like AT&T services, Drive Mode, AT&T Locker, along with Live TV, Family Map, and SmartWifi. However, it's the Samsung apps and enhancements that really make it worth downloading.

First, there's Multi-window mode, which allows you to open two different apps at the same time into two different windows on your Galaxy S3's mobile screen, according to PhoneArena. There are also new Samsung-app based abilities, like Auto Share Shot, using NFC. This camera mode lets you share videos and pictures that you shoot automatically to other devices with NFC and S-Beam. There's also the Best Face option, an upgrade from the Best Photo camera setting, along with Paper Artist.

Other improvements in the update are to the calendar app, S-Voice, and SD card software. Here are the promotional videos touting the new features in Samsung's Premium Suite:

In order to get the Premium Suite update now, over the air, go to your Galaxy S3's Settings, then "About Device," followed by "Software Update," and then "Check for Updates." You'll want to be connected to Wi-Fi for this, and backing up any of your media files on the phone to the SD card is a good idea. Once you download and restart your device, you'll be off and running with the Premium Suite!

Other Samsung Galaxy S3 owners will get a notice that the update is available Aug. 7, but because you came to Latinos Post, you know it's available right now. As for the Android 4.3 and/or Android 4.2.2 updates, it's still a confusing mess, but keep checking with us at Latinos Post Tech for more updates as they become available.
