Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade finally put an end to his nasty divorce, settling with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches for $5 million this week.

Wade, who spent six years in messy court battle with Funches, has finally reached an agreement with his ex-wife for a multi-million dollar settlement.

According to Wade's lawyer, the agreement includes a non-disparage clause, which prohibits Funches from taking any action that will create negative impact on the reputation of the Miami Heat star.

Funches drew attention last week after staging a protest outside a Chicago courthouse, showing a sign with a message "NBA Miami Heat Star, Mother of His Children on the Street."

Wade responded to his ex-wife's stunt by releasing a statement through his attorney.

"Ms. Funches has made a mockery of homelessness which is a serious and personal issue for Mr. Wade as his mother was homeless for a period of time when he was a child," Wade's attorney, James B. Pritikin, said in a statement.

Wade filed for a divorce from Funches in 2007, but it was just the start of a long and ugly court battle. In 2011, Wade was given the right to have full custody of his two children with Funches, who was arrested a year later for unlawful visitation interference and attempted abduction of their children.

However, Funches struck back, filing a lawsuit against Wade for failure to compensate her with income from endorsement contracts as part of a 2008 agreement.

As for Funches' visitation rights with her sons, Pritikin said the court will decide on that matter.

"The safety and well-being of his children are [Wade's] main priority," Pritikin said. "Due to Ms. Funches' current unstable mental state, her visitation will be determined by the court. Mr. Wade continues to hope that one day he will have a civil relationship with his ex-wife for the sake of their sons."
