The Portland Trail Blazers and All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge reportedly had a meeting recently to tackle on possible trade scenarios, a source close to situation reported on Thursday.

The Blazers have been shopping Aldridge for the past few weeks ever since the two-time All Star expressed his desire to leave Portland next season.

According to Real GM, Blazers general manager Neil Olshey reportedly offered their franchise player to several teams already such as the Chicago Bulls for Joakim Noah, Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love, Los Angeles Clippers for Blake Griffin, Atlanta Hawks for Al Horford and New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis, but their trade demands were just too stiff for teams to accept.

Aldridge, who averaged 21.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks last season, has two years and $30 million remaining in his current deal with the Blazers but his ball club hasn't reached the playoffs for two seasons in a row.

According to a recent article by Bleacher Report, the Detroit Pistons appear to be an ideal spot for Aldridge, who could form part of a formidable frontline alongside Josh Smith and budding big man Andre Drummond. The Pistons can offer center Greg Monroe, the expiring contract of Rodney Stuckey and draft picks in exchange for Aldridge.

Another interesting scenario mentioned in the article is the possibility of Aldridge joining the newly-revamped Houston Rockets. With Omer Asik showing his desire to leave Houston as soon as possible, the Rockets could use the seven-footer in a trade package that also includes Jeremy Lin, Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas for the sweet-shooting power forward like Aldridge.

If the Rockets somehow find a way to pull it off, they will instantly have one of the most explosive starting lineups in basketball with Patrick Beverley, James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Dwight Howard and Aldridge all on the same team.
