Bungie, the developers of the Halo Series, were at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, to discuss their latest game, Destiny. Specifically, Bungie held a panel were they discussed their world-building techniques and shared a veritable host of concept art from the game. The concept art can be seen on Bungie's Destiny Website.

The goal of the panel was to show how Bungie was able to create a brand-new world that gamers will enjoy and one that will matter to fans of the series. They also had to deal with challenges of flexibility and being able to accommodate any community creations fans add to the world.  The company also revealed that they would have a lot more content to show eager fans at E3, which runs from June 9-11.

Destiny is the first game from Bungie since the company split from Microsoft and the Halo series. So far details are scarce about the game, both story-wise and when we can expect from the game. Destiny has been confirmed for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the upcoming PlayStation 4. No word if other next-gen systems shall receive the game.

Bungie promises the galactic-in-scope game will live up to the standards the company has set for themselves, despite starting from scratch on a brand-new series. The game will feature humans and aliens duking it out for control of the solar system, but in a Q & A session with fans, Bungie stated this will not be a black and white morality tale, but be much more complicated than that.

"Not all of the aliens in Destiny are evil, just like not all humans are good. We've barely scratched the surface on the character and customization options you'll have access to in Destiny, but we're not going to dig in any deeper today,"
