Fans rejoiced when Beyoncé posted a brand new song on her website on Sunday. They couldn't be more excited to get a new dose of the most beloved, talented, majestic pop singers of all time. But as the opening seconds tick past the first minute, fans stop celebrating and question what they're listening to. It doesn't sound like Beyoncé. It sounds different. The world as we know it is ending.

Then, as they continue to listen and try to get a grasp on her new release, they hear it. Although the song selection may seem unfitting for the superstar, her sweet, booming melodies still grace the track and provide fans with more of what they love. Back to the celebration.

The new song, called "Bow Down / I Been On," shows a more tough talking, aggressive side of Beyoncé that we generally don't hear in her music. Sure, she's a beast on stage, but her songs rarely show signs of the singer's ego.

"Don't get get it twisted, get it twisted / This my s*** / Bow down, bit****" she sings. Aside from the lyrics, the beat itself drops harder than most Beyoncé songs, hinting that perhaps she's taking a new path on her upcoming album. There's still no word if this track will be featured on her next full-length record, but it gives fans a brief preview regardless.

Fans are now even more eager to see what Beyoncé has in store for her next album. Is this a new face for the pop star? Either way, the new track works. It may not be what fans expected, but they're sure to love it.
