Maybe we are not so different after all. A recent Match.com online survey distributed by USA Today revealed that men and women both judge potential dates on the same top two traits: good teeth and good grammar.

Match.com surveyed 5,481 singles over the age of 21. They found that 58 percent of men judge a date on good teeth above all, while 55 percent say that good grammar is most important. The next most important traits are hair, clothes, and having (or not having) a tattoo. The least important trait was 'electronic devices they carry,' with only 9 percent of men saying they would judge a romantic partner based on her technology.

On the women's side, 71 percent surveyed said they judge men most on their teeth, followed by 69 percent who listed good grammar as most important. Clothes, hair, and nails/ hands came after that, and like the men surveyed, only 10 percent of women said they would judge a man above all else on the electronics he carries.

The survey also asked people about their 'must haves' in a relationship. Both men's and women's top two 'must haves' were "Is someone I can confide in" and "treats me with respect."

After that, men listed physical attractiveness, sense of humor, and comfort with her own sexuality as essential traits in a woman. Women, on the other hand, listed a sense of humor, shared values, and the ability to communicate as top 'must have' qualities in a man.
