Two commercial airliner jets that collided near the gates at Miami International Airport on Thursday left hundreds of passengers on board stranded by no injured, the Miami Herald reported on Friday. Authorities were conducting an investigation that occurred between Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus and Air France.

According to the Herald, the both jets sustained damage from the collision-one to its wingtip and the other to its tail section. Miami International Airport spokesman Marc Henderson told the newspaper that several flights were delayed due to the crash.

The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m., between Concourses J and H. The Herald reported that an Aerolineas Argentina Airbus, with 240 passengers on board, stuck an Air France 777-300, with about 350 passengers, which was preparing to leave for Paris.

Although passengers arriving from Argentina were allowed to disembark, the passengers from Air France were forced to pick up their luggage and reschedule their flights, the Herald reported. According to some passengers, some altercations between the passengers and Air France staff occurred, as well as some arguments between the passengers themselves.

This is not the first time an Air France jet is part of an airport collision. In April 2011, an Air France A380 clipped the tail of a Delta Connection jet that had just arrived from Boston at John F. Kennedy airport in New York. The Christian Science Monitor reported that just months later, another Air France 380 "brushed the wing of an Airbus A330" at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.
