William Levy's new Telenovela "La Tempestad, is in search for a female protagonist. Among those rumored to take on the female protagonist role are Thalia and Angelique Boyer.

Producer Salvador Mejia stated in an interview with the TV show "Todo para la Mujer" that he would like to work with the singer/actress Thalia again. However the producer stated that he would like to have Thalia in a small but crucial role that would last a couple of weeks in the series.

Actress, Angelique Boyer is also rumored to be a huge contender for the female lead. The actress recently shot a commercial with the Cuban Actor William Levy that the executives of Televisa considered a huge hit. According to the executives, the actors had very good chemistry that could be good for a soap opera. Producer Mejia stated that he has talked to Boyer but nothing is confirmed.

If Thalia is hired for the run, it would be her first soap opera since her Maria Trilogy in the 90s. Thalia has recently been involved in a family scandal that ruptured ties with her sister actress Laura Zapata. Angelique Boyer had her break out in 2011 with the soap opera "Teresa" for which she won Best Actress at Premios TVYNovelas and recently worked on the hit novela "Abismo de Pasion."
