For the first time since Vanessa L. Williams in 1984, a Miss New York has brought the Miss America crown back to New York.

Miss New York 2012, Mallory Hagan, has since been making the media rounds, including ABC's 'The View' on Monday.

On Wednesday, Hagan appeared on 'The Wendy Williams Show,' where she discussed her win, reactions, and more.

According to Hagan, when the announcement came about becoming Miss America 2013, she was in "Shock, utter, complete disbelief."

Hagan said she made it far in the pageant competition and thought she'll be first runner-up next to Miss South Carolina 2012 Ali Rogers.

The Miss America crown was also discussed and revealed what the four points of pageant crown represented: service, style, scholarship, and success.

Hagan spoke about being from Alabama and noted she moved to New York four years ago. She currently attends the Fashion Institute Technology (FIT), studying advertising, marketing, and communications.

As for her love life, Williams said a "birdy" told her Hagan has been dating a black man that looks like Barack Obama.

"Maybe," laughed Hagan.

At the end of the Hagan's segment, Wiliams congratulated the Brooklyn-native and presented her with a "How You Doin'" sash, in the same style as the standard Miss America sash.
